All the first-year students had its departmental fresher’s for Political Science honours students on 31^st of August at the Indraprastha College For Women.

Fresher’s is something all first year students look forward to. It’s an occasion where you are formally welcomed in a college—in a new life by the college you are in.

The theme for us was NATIONAL INTEGRATION, quite synonymous with political science students. Indian traditional attire was the choice for most of the girls. It was great seeing girls from across the country dress up and represent their states. It was like integrating the entire country!! Girls from Assam wore mekhla chador, Punjab ki kudiyan wore patiala, Bengali’s wore traditional bengali saree, anarkali was the choice for Lucknow girls, girls from Sikkim wore their attire. Everything about the fresher’s seemed great. It was really nice seeing girls from lucknow speaking of how much they love bengali culture and girls from Lucknow dressed in punjabi way talking of their love for punjab. The question answer round for selection of Miss Fresher’s was quite interesting too!!!!! Students of Political Science truly seemed to be youngsters with qualities of future leaders. The entire country seemed to have gathered in the freshers that day.

One thing which was heard in the auditorium by every fresher on stage was “IP Rocksss!!!!!” and every single fresher thanked the seniors and teachers for making them feel at home. Performances by seniors and fresher are both rocked. This fresher’s certainly is going to remain with us for the next three years in college and forever in our lives.
